FLYING CREATURES
Interactive Installation / Permanent Artwork, 2024
Flying Creatures is an interactive play-installation designed for a kindergarten, conceived as a learning tool through movement and direct experience. The artwork is activated by children’s interaction, who move suspended puppets to bring a series of luminous creatures to life. Lights, sounds, and motion combine to create a dynamic and engaging environment.
Through play, children develop coordination, rhythm, and collaboration, learning to relate to space and to each other. The creatures float, dance, and move in time with music, transforming the installation into an immersive experience that stimulates imagination, bodily awareness, and sensory learning.
The project has become a permanent installation within the school and was developed in dialogue with a series of previous workshops conducted with children and educators. Flying Creatures represents one of the most successful workshop formats of my practice, where art, play, and education naturally intersect in an accessible way.
