THE HERBARIA

Photographic Series / Fantastic Cataloguing, 2020–ongoing

A series of photographic plates that collect and catalog imaginary flowers made from paper and other materials. Each flower is photographed, laid out, and presented as in a scientific herbarium, while belonging to an imaginary world: a collection of fantastical species discovered and documented over recent years through a process of creative recycling. The plates combine botanical aesthetics, poetic fiction, and archival work.
